Morgan Lakey is a higher education professional with a strong foundation in leadership, communication, and student development. She graduated from the University of West Florida in 2025 after earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, along with a minor through the Kugelman Honors Program. Her undergraduate experience was shaped by both academic rigor and meaningful involvement in Housing and Residence Life where she developed a passion for student engagement and leadership education.

Currently, Morgan is pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and serves as a Resident Director at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. In this role, she manages a residence hall, overseeing daily operations, supervising student staff, responding to student needs, and supporting community development initiatives. Her professional responsibilities allow her to apply leadership theory, conflict management, and organizational strategy in a practical setting.

In addition to her campus role, Morgan serves as the Regional Director of the South Atlantic Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (SAACURH). Through this position, she collaborates with institutions across the region to promote leadership development, advocacy, and civic engagement within residential communities. This regional leadership experience has strengthened her ability to work across institutions, manage large-scale initiatives, and support student leaders at multiple levels.

Through her academic background in Communications and her professional experience in Housing and Residence Life, Morgan has developed a diverse and adaptable skill set that includes strategic communication, leadership development, and program management. She believes that cultivating a broad range of skills and perspectives is essential to becoming a well-rounded professional. In the future, Morgan hopes to pursue a career in Public Relations and entertainment marketing
